Puerto Williams is a city, port and naval base on Navarino Island in Chile. This is where we docked after a day at sea and where the ship cleared customs before we were permitted to go ashore. Customs clearance took about 2 hours. Our last zodiac ride was a dry landing, we felt almost naked going ashore without the usual double layer of heavy socks, muck boots, rain pants, insulating jacket, hat, scarf or gloves. Only the life jacket was mandatory. It was a glorious 14° C (57° F).

Honestly, there was not much to see in town so we were back on board well before the 10:30 PM sailing time.
